Time for colief ?

I have been using infacol and gaviscon with my 3-4 week old dd for 1 week now. Asked doc about colief and told to continue with what we are using at mo. she cried all evening last night ! Should I persevere or try colief or something new ?

we tried colief with DS1 and it seemed to help a little, it's always so difficult to tell ! I sympathise about the crying, it's really hard !

Colief is the only thing that works. Get some from over the counter if your GP won't prescribe it. Good luck!

Gaviscon is for reflux?

Is that what your baby has? If so, colief won't really help

Gaviscon does constipate babies so that could be causing discomfort

I would seek medical advice to be honest

Doc gave her gaviscon as said she was bringing up small amounts of feed - but unsure if any more than would be normal.... It is hard to know what the cause is ! She is not awful every day but long spells of crying done days ! Unsure how much crying is normal. Evenings are worst ! X

A bit of spitting up is usual

Lots of evening crying is morelikely to be colic - am not a doc but this is from what I have read

They a sling and if you have a partner then get them to do some shifts so you aren't handling the crying alone

Maybe comfort milk is worth a go ? Either colief or comfort makes our night feeds and going out hard though as using cartons becomes impractical !

We have a sling and yes it does help x

I don't know what comfort milk is but would stick to whatever formula you have been using TBH until you can speak to a doctor/HV
