Should I be worried?

...or am I just neurotic?

DD is 3 weeks old today and has been feeding non-stop since we got home from hospital. she goes about 2 hours between feeds once or twice a day and the rest of the time feeds virtually non-stop. i get max 3-4 hours sleep between 9pm and 9am.

until last night that is. she fell asleep around midnight and i had to wake her at 4am for a feed. usually she feeds for at least an hour at night but could not get her to feed for more than 10 mins, despite nappy change etc. she woke at 5.45 for another quick feed and then i woke her at 7, again a short feed. she has spent all morning asleep, waking only for a short feed now and then.

i'm defo not complaining, have been dying for the non-stop cluster feeding to end but this is all a bit sudden. would have thought it would be gradual and am a bit concerned at the drastic change and how much she is suddenly sleeping. any thoughts?

(ps am well aware she could revert back to form at any minute!)

How does she seem? Alert, vaguely content periods? Getting poos and wees? Is her skin ok - if you press her flesh does it return to normal colour quickly? Any major concerns over her weight gain?

well she's not alert today as she's asleep unless she's feeding/having her nappy changed! poos and wees are fine as is skin. she hasn't been weighed since last week but was back up over her birth weight.

That all sounds good going. I do remember ds suddenly changing his habits at various points - in the other direction though, less and less sleep!

I'd be tempted to just let her sleep and feed when she wants.
