hi, not sure if should be here or health. ds vomited all night, now ds2 has it (9months) he is breastfed and solids. if was formula feeding would cut out protein and dairy and feed boiled water but as it's breastmillk am i better off breastfeeding or will it make the puking worse?

want to comfort him and give him immunities but will the milk prolong the bug.

Thanks

No, keep feeding...breastmilk is the best thing for her

TanteRose · 03/07/2012 12:09

Sorry, for him Smile

Keep feeding, fluids are the most important thing and won't have any effect on duration of the bug

BertieBotts · 03/07/2012 12:22

No, breastmilk counts as a clear fluid in these circumstances. It's like a natural dioralyte type substance and the nutrients are so easily absorbed by the body that even if he brings it straight back up he will have got something from it.

Also current advice is to feed them what they ask for rather than avoiding certain food groups :)
