I think I have thrush....

Baby is 13 months and BFed about 3 times in the day and same as night. I started having a sore nipple 2 days ago. I didn't really pay much attention but now things have 'escalated' and I noticed tonight that on both sides (but more on one) the outer edge of the nipple seems quite raw and there are a few red spots. BF is mildly painful and the pain lingers after a feed.
My breasts also feel warm (if that makes sense).

Any tips? I've looked up thrush online and it seems to be a nightmare to get rid of! Anything I can do that doesn't involve a paediatrician?

The only thing that got rid of mine was vaginal strength Caneston. They wouldn't prescribe it for me and I had to lie to the pharmacist to get it . But I tried lots of other treatments beforehand. If its your first ever case, a good dose of flucanazole should clear it. See your GP and don't forget both you and your baby need treating. Just to add: I spent a fortune on 'alternative' treatments- garlic tablets, grapefruit seed extract and others and none of it worked [bitter]

Definitely not mastitis. I've had it a few times (3 babies) and this is very different.
I am concerned because I haven't noticed any symptoms in my DD but she is due her (very late) 16 weeks jabs tomorrow and I am not sure it's safe to vaccinate her if she has it. I don't know what to do...
