Quick question about expressed bm

I am off out today and there will be nowhere where I will feel comfortable bf so can I express some milk and take it with me?
My 5 month old won't take a bottle but does take a cup with a lid and spout (one of those tommee tippee ones) so can it be taken in one of those ? Will it go off?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but only ever expressed and given it straight away, never had to transport it before!

Any help appreciated!

Take it in a bottle with a cool pack so it's sealed and safe then tip it into the cup when he ready for it.

Breast milk, if expressed and not frozen can officially, if necessary, stay out of the fridge for up to 10 hours as it has its own natural preservatives although I always recommend 6 hours to allow for warmer conditions. It must be stored in a sterilized container but not be reheated or stored after that and should be thrown away if not used.

Have a great time out!

A cool pack is a good idea, but the BFN storage guidelines say it should be fine at room temperature for six hours.

Well that's interesting!

Thank you for correcting me. It would never have occurred to me that you could keep it at room temperature.
