expressing and storage questions

I'll be expressing a few times a day at work, after which the bottle will go in the fridge. Do I have to use a seperate container each time I express or can I top up the one that's already in the fridge? If that makes sense!

Its entirely your choice love. I used to use a whole bottle per session so never reAlly worried, but sometimes I would get more in one session than another and then I'd really have no choice but to combine bottles.

You can't express into a bottle with cold milk in it but you can keep one bottle in the fridge, chill the freshly expressed milk then add the fresh (but chilled) to the first bottle of chilled milk. The bottle you expressed into can then be washed up and used the next time you express.

When you mix milk from different expressings it has to be treated as though it is the oldest milk (i.e. if you mix milk expressed on Monday with milk expressed on Wednesday you have to treat it as Monday's milk). Obv this isn't an issue if it's just milk from one day but expressed at different times during that day.

Lots of info on storing EBM here.
