Expressed milk in a bottle, DD suddenly refusing

I give my DD expressed breastmilk in a Dr Browns bottle. We use the Boots variable flow teat and she's been happy with this setup for the past 8 weeks. This morning when my DH tried to feed her, she mucked about with the teat in her mouth, would suck for a bit, get frustrated, then spit it out. But she was clearly very hungry. He tried for an hour to feed her at 5am, then he had to go to work so put her down and woke me up to let me know what happened. I tried feeding her at 8am, she fed fine. Then at her 11am feed - nothing. Refused the bottle.

Luckily I had an emergency stash of Hipp Organic formula in the glass bottles with the screw-on teat and she wolfed it down. So now I don't know if it was my milk she didn't want, or if it was the teat. I tried swapping it for a stage 1 Dr Browns teat but with both of them she just sort of rolled them around in her mouth and wouldn't latch on. It was like her tongue suddenly went lazy.

I'll try her on her regular setup at her next feed, but has anyone experienced this and do you have any advice? Thank you!

How old is she? Could she be beginning to teeth? That can play havoc with feeding.

Hi Pascha, she'll be 9 weeks on Thursday - one thing I just thought of, she had her first set of vaccinations yesterday, I don't know if that's got anything to do with it? (she doesn't have a fever).

Post vaccs can make them a bit fretful. It is too early really for teething. I hope she settles down and its just a one off for you.
