Breastfeeding friendly meds

Got a really nasty cold and feel rotten. Taking paracetemol but can't have Lemsip. strepsils or any of the good stuff due to breastfeeding. Anyone know of any breastfeeding friendly meds that'll work?

Me too, now on to week two of my cold :(

The pharmacist I saw gave me menthol crystals that you dissolve in warm water and breathe the vapour. They were from behind the pharmacy counter, never seen them before. They helped a little, and he checked they were breastfeeding friendly.

Hope you feel better soon

Loads of helpful info in this factsheet from the Breastfeeding Network.

Sympathy. I have one too I got from DD!

You're fine to take Strepsils according to: www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/dibm/Cough-and-Cold-Remedies-October-2011.pdf

I'm on week two of a cold as well, with a stomach bug thrown in for good measure, also stuck on the paracetemol due to bf'ing DS Sad.

If you have a sore throat or cough you can have glycoril (sp?)
