Dd is 8 months and in preparation for returning to work I am replacing her mid morning and mid afternoon breastfeeds with formula. I will still feed her early am, bed and night if she wants. I have for 2 days been giving a bottle at 1030 am and by 2 I am so full on both sides but she drains them soft and then by 6/7 they are full and sore again and she drains them both. Then when she was at 1/2am to feed I am soaking wet and full again - she just has one side then both sides again around 6am. I feel in a vicious circle of engorgement bu just missing one feed. Should I encourage her to take less at each engorged breast to stop it refilling so much as such or will it settle. Got to do the afternoon feed soon!
