Mini pill and breastfeeding

I've been ebf my 7 week old with the exception of a couple of formula top ups early on. Everything has been going good until I started taking the mini pill last week, in the last few days dd seems to being getting frustrated and fussy during feeds.
I was wondering if anyone had noticed a decrease in milk when taking this contraception. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but it seems like there just not enough milk. I'm demand feeding and she also cluster feeds in the evening but she doesn't seem to be getting satisfied.

mammyemcbe - there seems that there is an anecdotal link between the mini-pill and low supply - see here for some more info.

Equally though it could be the 6w growth spurt causing the fussiness in the evening - lots of info on 'fussiness' here.

Hope you find a resolution/way to ride this out.

I took the mini pill (Cerazette) during the 11 months that I bf my DS. Didn't notice any fussiness.

Hope your LO settles down soon, there could be other causes: such as growth, reflux, wind.

I also took cerazette when bf (didn't follow HV advice that bf was decent contraception Hmm) with no noticeable effects on DS, but cerazette seems to affect people in different ways, my friend, sister and I all have very different experiences of it.
