Problems with ff out of the blue

Hi
My DS is 11 weeks and over the weekend has become very agitated when I'm feeding him. He had been having 5oz every 3 hours now he's struggling to have 3oz. Sometimes he's then wanting more an hour later, sometimes not. Its taking around an hour to take 4oz as he keeps pushing the bottle away and crying. He also keeps pushing his fist in his mouth and is drooling more than usual. He's happy enough between feeds - maybe a little bit clingy and sleepy but I think this could be because he's upset from the problematic feeds. I had been using gripe water and stopped to see if it could be this causing problems but it hasn't made a difference. Any ideas what the problem could be? Would call hv but its a never ending bank holiday weekend so no one answering till weds. I don't feel like its an emergency as his temperature is normal and between feeds he's ok.
Thanks in advance.

Teething maybe, don't really know but chewing his hands and drooling suggests teething. could you try some bongela just before you feed him? sorry if thats rubbish advise. DD2 cut her first tooth at 6 weeks so it can happen quite early

I thought maybe teething so I'll try bonjela - tried Teetha powders but didn't do anything. I've tried to feel his gums but he won't let me but as far as I can see nothing there. Am I right in thinking that they can have pain for some time before anything starts to come through?

I would say teething. The teeth move down the gums before cutting through.

Dd started teething about 12 weeks but didn't get her first one until about 6.5 months. My friends DS still hasn't got one and he's 13 months!

They tend to be a bit miserable, off milk etc. Try the powders, they worked fab for us. If you think he really is in pain then give a bit of calpol.
