Just briefly, I've had real problems feeding DD2 who is now 17wks. She had a tt snip at 12 weeks by a private LC after it had been missed by all the HCPs we'd seen. It was 75% and v obvious! Angry

Anyway, DD2 has gained weight ridiculously slowly and is now on the 0.4 centile. She lost weight last week and we were admitted to hospital for the day where I was told to wean her. Shock

Last night I spoke to the LC who did her tt division and she has recommended a nursing supplementer, her opinion (which I think I agree with) is that weaning will result in a slowing of any weight gain. So, we're back to giving DD top ups. As she completely refuses a bottle we were having to syringe feed which just resulted in screaming. (I therefore gave up and we got in this mess).

So basically, I'm just asking whether anyone has any experience of nursing supplementers as I'm prepared to give it another go but I'm so totally confused. Confused

Thank you Thanks

I have no experience of this I'm afraid but I did use More Milk Plus when struggling with supply with DS3. I did notice a difference and when I missed a day noticed it drop off. I tried both the More Milk Plus and the Goats Rue. The Goats Rue is truely vile and make my breast tissue grow. I stopped this after a while and they went back to normal and the More Milk Plus was enough to help me maintain supply.

Perhaps your LC can put you in touch with someone who has used a nursing supplementer?
