DS is 7 months and ebf. We're going to a wedding tomorrow, at least DH is going to the wedding, I'm just going to the evening do (child free, whole other thread!!!!).

DS is staying with my parents overnight, I've never left him for more than a couple of hours before. Over the last week he seems to have dropped a lot of daytime feeds, can happily go from 9am to 4ish without a feed. Nights are a whole other issue, we veer between 9 hours sleep and awake every hour!

I've expressed about 20oz, the plan is I'll feed him about 7 (normal bedtime feed) then DM will take DS, the expressed milk, a cup, a bottle and hope for the best.

He will drink water from a cup but wont take a bottle and I've never tried milk in a cup.

He will be ok, wont he?

Yes. If DM is confident, he'll be fine. If he's really hungry he could eat something. It's most likely to be lots of cuddles or pram trips.

Thank you.

DM is very confident, she normally spends 1 day a weeks with us and then has DS for a couple of hours on a Friday morning as I'm currently training to be a Peer Supporter.

But she has said that at any point if she thinks that she can't cope she'll send my dad to pick me up. Luckily they've brought their caravan for the weekend so are only 20 minutes from the venue!

I did suggest that if he seems really hungry and wont take milk they could give him a weetabix!
