relactate? i want to bf

My ds2 is 4.5 weeks old. I mixed fed (but expressed) for 2 weeks and had to stop as was put on citalopram. Came off that after 3 days with agreement from Dr and have been gutted I stopped giving ds bm ever since.

I have been told you can start bf again but I will need some hand holding with it as dh not keen on bf in general but says its "up to me".

Anyone got advice?

I unless at doing links on my phone but Kellymom website has lots of good information on relaxation. It will be hard work a lot of pumping and feeding to start with but is doable at this point. Some real live help with this would be a good idea as well see if you can find a local breast feeding support group or ring one of the helplines.

Relactation is possible for a lot of mothers, since your DS2 is still very young then that's a positive sign. I agree with MigGirl, I really think that real life support will help you here, can you contact local NCT or LLL?

It would be great to have your DH on side as a bit of extra support can make the difference- even if it's just things like cooking the dinner and doing a bit of extra housework so that you can sit and feed your DS2.
