Help me heal my poor chewed nipples!

DS2 is 7mo and has had two bottom teeth for about 5 weeks now. Over the last few days his teeth seemed to be rubbing on my left (just the left, not sure why) nipple when he feeds and it HURTS!!! The skin doesn't look broken, but I think it will be soon.

He still feeds through the night, so last night I didn't feed from the left at all. Yesterday I'd done the "rugby ball" hold to alter where his teeth rubbed. Then this morning I latched him on in this position and had to pull him off straight away because OOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!

I've managed to feed from that side today but through gritted teeth. What can I put on it / do to make it better?

TIA Smile

Get some jelonet from boots and use it on your nipples in between feeds (cut to size). It really is amazing and everyone needs to know about it.

This is exactly what I am going through at the moment, I really feel for you, my DD is 6 mo and has one bottom tooth coming up and both of my nipples really, really hurt! Started with just my left one hurting :( I'm currently slapping on my nipple cream but it doesn't seem to be working. I might call into boots today and get some jelonet.

Hope your situation improves nonapandknackered, hang on in there. Hopefully this is a short, passing phase Hmm

I second jelonet.... Lanolin cream, jelonet and then breast ad in your bra.. Lifesavers

Good luck!
