Teething changing latch?

DS is 8.5 months and his two top teeth are just cutting through (he already has two on the bottom). Over the past few days, I've noticed that his latch feels different; sort of softer/shallower IYSWIM (!) and he's dribbling milk quite a lot. He also doesn't seem to be emptying my breasts in quite the same way as he usually does. He doesn't seem too bothered by teething otherwise, so I don't really want to give him any calpol, and I find it impossible to get the teething powders in his mouth! Can teething change latch? Anything I can do to improve it? Thanks!

Yes it can. It might just get better again as he gets used to his teeth. Or you might need to experiment a bit like at the beginning, with making sure his mouth's open wide, nose is in the right place, changing feeding position etc.
