I was planning on leaving my 7 week old dd with her dad for couple of hours this weekend so I can get my hair cut. Will be the first time i've left her. Would like to leave them with a feed of expressed milk as she tends to feed every hour and a half. We've been trying last couple of days with a bottle and expressed milk and she will not take it. She screams really badly and gets really upset. Both me and my partner have tried and tried different times of day and with warm milk etc. At the most she'll take the teat in her mouth but then starts crying really badly. What can I do. . .

My dd wouldn't take a bottle until she was about 8 months!!! I don't know what to suggest other than spooning milk in or letting her lap from a cup

What teats are you using? I found tommee tippee closer to nature the best

Ye thats what i'm using. The tt ones. She's happy to hold it in her mouth but wont actually latch on to it or suck then she just starts screaming. Could I try a little sippy type cup or a dropper thing at nearly 8 weeks?

Is she actually tasting the milk in her mouth? Might be worth making sure she's getting a few drops so she knows what's in there. Mine's only just started taking a bottle at 7.5 months so I hope you have better luck than we did! Otherwise, if she won't take it then she'll make up the missed feed when you get back, don't worry!
