Don't know what's changed but in the last few data it's become really sore to feed 6mo DD, it's almost as if her suck has hot very strong. Left nipple particularly in agony - any ideas or suggestions what to do?

you're not pregnant are you?

TanteRose · 24/05/2012 06:14

or it might be that she is teething, and gumming down on your boob

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/05/2012 06:14

Er.....fuck I hope not! If I am no other symptoms, nipples only sore when feeding and mostly when she first latches on, like when you very first start bf. left much more painful than the right

Two teeth came through last month and no I'll effect but could be I guess. Oh I hope not. I had to suddenly reduce feeds when DS started teething as it became too painful - but that felt like I knew what that pain was IYSWIM.

Could she have got a bit lazy with her latch maybe?

One or both of you getting a bit lazy with latch?

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/05/2012 06:20

True, could be me - am in America and its 19pm, have at least two feeds ahead of me before morning, should I just try latching her on like a newborn?

sorry, didn't mean to startle you Grin (I was preggers again when DD was 7 months, so be careful!!)

lazy latching - get her to open her mouth wide properly before latching on

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/05/2012 06:24

Yeah realise that could have been a bit of an insensitive response, sorry! I'm fine with my two, don't want anymore and don't want another one so quickly

(must get contraception sorted)

no, no, when I said "be careful", it was'nt that I thought your response was insensitive, but, just, yeah, get that contraception sorted Grin

hope your DD's latch improves Smile
