Sleeping through...

Ok, for the last two nights my bf 8 week old has slept for 12 hours on the trot. I can't quite believe it but assume it must be a fluke given that I've not heard of it happening before. My other DD didn't do this until she was 7mo! Anyone else managed this? Could it be that it's not a fluke Wink

Hope I haven't jinxed it if it isn't a fluke...

Maybe so, maybe no! Enjoy it while it lasts (as long as she's getting lots of feeds in during daytime hours - lots of wet/dirty nappies, alert & active etc).

Dsis's first baby (also ebf) slept 12 hours from 6 weeks! I was very Envy

Between 4 and 6 months she did start waking for night feeds again but has been an excellent sleeper since then.

Enjoy it Smile

Thanks. She's got a cold so think it might have been a fluke Sad

6 months here and only just got down to (roughly) 10pm, 1am, 4am, 6am (from hourly to half hourly) . I want the secret of sleeping through!

my DD would regularly do 10-11hrs from 4.5wks to 16ish weeks. She's now 21 weeks and has started waking again most nights, usually once or twice but one awful night (2 days before she turned 4 months) it was 6 times!! A shock when you've foolishly got used to your sleep again.

Not quite so young but my ds1 slept 13 hours a night from about 12 weeks old. He's the same now at 3yrs old (although no longer bf)

I had a HUGE shock when ds2 came along and woke every 2 hours for a feed for well over a year.
