Is my milk gone?

DD is nearly 6 month and I will be travelling at the end of June without her. After much consideration I decided to cut down on the breast feeding to just do morning, evening and the 2 night feeds I still have. The 10am , 1 pm and 4pm are to be from a bottle. I started last week and after a couple of days of slightly engorged boobs they settled and seemed fine. However now they seem To be filling less and less. It's like they have given up! I have never ever been low on milk before so I am confused as to why this is happening. Can I get my milk back for those feeds I want to keep?

chocolate, it takes quite a while for established breastfeeding to disappear for good. Of course you have less milk - but some of the softening of your breasts is normal anyway with established breastfeeding.

Four feeds in 24 hours at your stage should be sufficient to maintain the supply you want. If you think you are too low for your baby's needs, then you know what to do - increase the frequency of feeding :) But I think all sounds fine.
