Does anyone know how long Colief takes to start helping? DD had her 4th day with it yesterday & last night was the first night with no screaming...she was also very settled all day yesterday. Ran out overnight.
Not sure if it's helping & if I should race out to get some now or if yesterday was a fluke. Anyone have any experience?

It does work quite quickly, probwasn't a fluke as it helps break down the lactose. I used it for a few days until the blockfeeding kicked in. Do you think you have oversupply?

it works immediatly if its the lactose that is causing the discomfort (and follow the instructions as its v easy to get wrong), i got it on repeat prescription for a while but then it started to cause dioreah (sorry cant spell)! when we finally got referred to a specialist he said that prolonged use does cause the runs and ds was prescribed lactose free formula, if you think your baby is lactose intol be persistant, it took 4 months and around 10 trips to the doc for us before we got it sorted, ask for them to test the sugar levels in a pooh sample this is an indicator, along with lots of crying, wind and explosive nappies! hope that helps
(ds was fine after 12 months and can have all dairy now, dd is currently on the lactose free milk but we are about to start to wean her off)
