What else can I try? Baby refusing bottle

DD has been diagnosed with silent reflux (just yesterday) and has started ranitidine. It's a nightmare trying to get her to eat more than 2oz every two hours but today she just won't take the bottle. She sort of tries to suck then screams. Her cot is elevated, we keep her upright, have tried feeding her when sleepy... Am so worried as she has eaten nothing in 6 hours and hardly anything then...

Dream feed. Rock her to sleep and feed once she drops off.

Or use a syringe to get milk in.

I assume she's on formula? If so its highly likely that the cows milk is causing the reflux or making it worse. So you need to either try comfort milk or push for a hydrolysed formula from the GP.

Dd2 had silent acid reflux and I'd be lucky to get 9oz of formula a day in her. Like iggly suggests, we put her on comfort formula and that helped a lot! She too was on ranitidine. We saw a huge improvement!!

Thank you! I am slowly transitioning to HA formula but it's so grim tasting I'm having to do it very gradually.

She just took 3oz which is almost a personal best...

Dream feeding def the answer - she feeds SO much better when asleep.
