first nursing bra for a giant bust but small back?

hello wise MNetters. I've been measured for a nursing bra, and I'm not sure what to do - Mothercare doesn't stock my size!! at the moment I'm a 34F/G and I've been warned I'll prob drop to a 32 and go up to an H when milk comes in. I don't really want to buy anything expensive though until that's actually happened, and I get measured again. Partly because I can't find anywhere locally to try anything on and partly because nursing bra's are bloomin expensive, so I'd like to avoid buying one until I know the actual size I'll need.

I've been thinking of getting something like the bravado body silk seamless bra just for the hospital bit and first weeks at home, but I'm worried it will be hopeless in terms of support for a pair of Blush ahem, knockers like mine.

Can anyone recommend anything with plenty of stretch and support for the 'tide me over' stage? TIA

if you wouldn't find it too wierd, i'd be thrilled to send you all my old 32G / H hot milk / anita nursing bras.... I've never found a good way of getting rid of them, and god knows they cost a fortune.
Anita were the best as they're cotton but their sizing is very inconsistent so 32 in some styles was much too loose. Agent Provocateur does a 32 back but £££.

wow thanks bobbi I would be incredibly grateful!! I have recently become single and money is ridiculously tight, so that would actually be a huge help :) shall I pm you?

Another vote for the Freya dotty one. I found the royce ones really uncomfortable, M&S ones were hopeless, but the good old Freya saw me through! I am a 32g at the best of times, was in a J cup whilst nursing.

Can I just say also, that MNetters are about the nicest bunch of people I have ever met?? Three cheers for Mumsnet!! Grin

Thanks Thanks Thanks

Hi, my daughter-in-law had the same problem - large cup size and small back, but we found www.NursingBra-shop.co.uk really helpful for unusual sizes and extra-supportive nursing bras. They posted out to us the same day we ordered on line, offered 45 day return period if bras don't fit, and were generally helpful. Bras in these sizes tend to be a bit more expensive, but delivery is free. They have a very good range from a number of brands, and include underwired nursing bras as well.

I went to Bravissimo as I'm a 30GG. Then order online when there are offers.

Before my milk came in I used soft night time bra in medium size. Nct and mothercare sell them, and of course they're perfect for at home days.

I am still in my collection of bravado seamless stretchy bras at 7 weeks into breastfeeding. I was a 32g pre pregnancy, and the large size fits really well still and feels far more supportive than any others I have tried. All the proper feeding bras I have tried gave monoboob!

The best nursing bra ever, ever, ever

Probably worth getting after the first month or two when your size has settled a bit - underwire not comfy for the early days. I feel totally normal in this bra! No monoboob whatsoever. I have a black one and a bright red one :)

I'm 30f and can't remember what I went upto when BF but I got my bras from J Lewis. 34" isn't a small back, you should be able to find something.
