I think I can predict what kind of take they're likely to have on things, but just thought I'd warn people in case anyone wants to watch/phone in/e-mail! It's a follow on from the Time magazine cover...

oooh... thanks for that Smile

That will be interesting to watch!

DD is 6 months today and I've already been asked if I'm going to put her on formula now. Why on earth would I do that?? When I reply that I hope to bf till 2yrs I get the most horrific look. Then the questions follow, won't that look funny and why would you want to bf a 2yr old, etc. What's so hard to understand? Bm is good for them and all the other 101 reasons to carry on bf!!

I'm going to record it and watch it at a time when it's more socially acceptable to pour myself a large gin. I'm a bit pessimistic about it! I've heard that someone from the DM is going to be on....

So sorry to be thick...DM?

Daily Mail. Which means it will be really balanced and not at all judgey towards mothers.

So long as it's not Eamonn Holmes, it might be ok. He has made several iffy comments about BF in general.

Oh God..!

After the hell I went through to get to this point-nearly 6 months in (no pain) I am not going to give up when it feels nice!!! Breast feeding is a skill that seems to be being lost and there is little support (although thank the lord for mumsnetters where I learned more than anywhere else).

My partners family think Im a nutter wanting to breast feed full stop never mind until DD is ready to give up be that 6 months, 1yr or 2! will be watching this avidly tomorrow thanks ag.

I thought that was not too bad really!

midori1999 · 16/05/2012 12:04

I though it went quite well too, with (suprisingly really!) Phillip and Holly seeming to support the lady who is breastfeeding her 3 year old. I would imagine, pretty much as Holly did say, the proof is in the child being breastfed herself.

The journalist came across as a bit bonkers and I think her comment that Time 'should have shown an 18 stone woman (breastfeeding) or something' sums it up really. Yes, we especially mustn't show a young, attractive, sexy woman using her breasts to feed a child... Hmm
