I have a very long overdue hair appointment today so will be away from ds (ebf) for around 3 hours.

Plan is to feed him before I go then leave him with dh, 5oz of ebm (split into 2), his dummy, swinging chair and pram and hope for the best!

Hope it's not too much of an ordeal for either of them Grin

I did this when my ds was 6weeks..... I wonder how many children are left for the first time because of root issues!

My ds was fine by the way, the salon was only round the corner from my mums house and I loved sitting in a chair not listening out for sqwarks and snuffles.

Enjoy!

A fair proportion I suspect! I deliberately went darker before I had dd so I didn't have the same issue. Didn't leave her for months.

I'll only be 5 minutes down the road too so if the worst comes to the worst dh can bring him to me.

Is DH looking forward to having some Daddy time on his own? Try and look at it rather than you leaving DS, it's DH strengthening their bond which means in the future that you'll all feel happier when you need to go out alone again.

Oh I personally found Hello magazine best to read in the hairdressers - lots of pictures and not much text for sleep deprived brains to take in!!

Have a wonderful time and really enjoy yourself knowing that your DS is in the care of someone who loves him unconditionally. :)

He was dreading it but I'm getting live updates and all seems well so far.

Ds has just downed his first 2.5oz in under 2 minutes apparently Grin

Amazingly I knew when he would be ready for a feed as I felt my boobs let down. I texted dh to say that I thought he'd be awake very soon just as he was texting to tell me he'd woken up!

Glad it went well! These mini adventures are sanity restoring I find :)
