Breastfeeding and working from home

I'll be returning to work soon, and as part of a flexible work arrangement I'll be doing some days in the office and some days from home (where DP will be there to look after DS). I understand the law gives me the right to breaks to express milk whilst I'm in the office - am I correct in assuming I would have the same rights to a break to feed DS (rather than express!) when I'm working from home?

Seems like common sense to me, but knowing my employer, I just want to make sure I have my facts straight!

Thanks :)

Yes you have the right to take breastfeeding breaks during working hours, either for expressing or feeding directly (e.g. some babies would be brought to their mums for feeding at the office by a carer). The working location doesn't change this - in fact I'd have thought that working from home actually helps your employer fulfil their duty to provide a safe environment for you.

There's a helpful factsheet here

Ah fantastic, thanks very much! :-)

Must admit in the office they will be quite challenged to find me somewhere, it'll be interesting to see what they come up with!
