One year! :0)

Hello all just wanted to share with you that my dd is celebrating her first birthday today and that I am proud to be feeding her in the evenings still. We had a rocky start to breastfeeding and my initial goal was six months but we have continued and I am so pleased I persevered with the initial pain and discomfort in the early days it was all so worth it! :0)

Well done - that's brilliant It's wonderful when it works out, which we know it doesn't for everyone, but well worth feeling proud of.

Wow well done you, I'm 4 months in and the current goal is 6 months. After that I'm hoping for a year and then who knows. I love seeing threads where people have achieved their BFing goals, I fantasise about getting to 6 months and announcing it on fb. Have never done anything I ever felt particularly proud of, I always do myself down and think I could do better but now I really am doing the best for my child and it really keeps me going. Congratulations again, what a wonderful start you've given your DD

Well done you . I had a rocky start too, and really wanted to make it to a year........................16 months on, and we're still going strong (nap times and nightime only now). It's a great feeling isn't it?
