Can I eat swordfish while I'm breastfeeding?

I know it's not recommended to eat swordfish during preg due to mercury levels, but does this continue to breastfeeding? Found a great recipe for it and it's on offer at Ocado, but don't want to poison ds2!

I am sure you would be fine with it on an occasional basis wilbur. I know they have to issue these warnings but the benefits of all the Omega 3 6 and 9 you get from oily fish to me far outweigh the occasional scares about other elements. And of course ds2 will benefit from the omegas!

Thanks marina - I think you're right if I only have it now and then. It seems so sad that you have to weigh up these things that should be so incredibly healthy. I used to eat swordfish and shark all the time in America (as it was cheap!) - I've probably done something terrible to my brain...

Do try and make sure it has been sustainably caught though. I love fish but trying to buy ef fish is a complete minefield.
