Bottle refuser - will I have to go cold turkey?

My DD is 6 months and has been EBF. I'm so pleased to have managed this long but the return to work is looming and I need her to take milk some other way.

In an ideal world I'd love to carry on with morning and bedtime feeds for a wee while longer but move onto formula during the day.

However...DD is refusing a bottle. I've tried with expressed milk/formula, tommy tippee/nuk/doidy cup/sippy cup. No joy!

I'm beginning to feel like my only option is to go cold turkey and just stop all breast feeding :-(. The thought of this makes me want to cry!

Does anyone have any advice?

My ds was exactly the same, I had tried all sorts of bottles, different formulas and expressed milk and he took nothing, my first day back at work he had a little bit of water out a cup and fed as soon as I got in, second day the same, third day I came home and he had drank 6oz of formula it's as if he just sussed it. Try not to worry to much, your baby will come round to it! Well done for getting so far!

Thanks Custard!

I know you're right, she won't starve herself surely! I just wish I was able to leave her for a few hours without worrying it'll be awful for her and whoever's looking after her!
