We had sex for the first time post baby last night - I've wanted to for weeks, but been too busy, so I was well up for it! Imagine my surprise then at feeling very sore/dry down there! i had a cs so as far as i know, no birth-related fanjo trauma? This has never happened for me before, I'm usually extremely wet at the drop of a hat (TMI sorry!) Grin

Could it be a side effect of demand BFing?

yes it is. BF reduces the amount of estrogen in your body (this is why BF can stop your fertility returning for a while) and that is what is responsible for the dryness. You might need to use some lubricant for a while, and take your time.

I have been wanting to ask this question too for a while now!

Ebf, 7 months down the line, sex is still so painful and I cant really bother (had cs too)

Glad I am not aloneGrin

yes I was very dry till my cycles started up again...when DD was 18 months!

TheNewandImprovedMrsHollywood · 08/05/2012 15:49

Yes, it was/is the same for me. Last time, I was also on Cerazette while BFing and when I came off that, my libido rocketed!!! I know you said your libido is fine, but for me, it was all connected with the... erm... issue you describe! Blush

Yep, me too. Also had cs and was v surprised to find sex so uncomfortable. I found it almost impossibly painful even with buckets of lube :(. Only got better when I totally stopped bf (was bf only at night for a month or two and it made no diff). But things were back to normal within 1 week of my last bf. So it will not last forever!!!
