My DD is 9 months old, she is BF and BLW. eats well (3 meals a day) and loves her food. The problem i have is i don;t know what to do about BF; she was refusing a bottle so we worked on that for a while, now she will take one fine. She is only having a BF and night and perhaps 2 through the day to nap. I have always struggled to BF - i am very fair and sensitive and the right side in particular can be very painful. since dropping back feeds, it has become almost unbearable to feed on the right. I love BF'ing, but i don't klnow if i've left it too late to increase feeds again and should just give up. She is having formula with all her meals and once in the afternoon as we just wanted to get her to accept a bottle. Plus, she has had a streaming cold (finds it hard to breath on the boob) and has just had 2 teeth pop through, buth things that have made me back off from feeding.

I dunno, just feel like i've made such a mess of it! I adore feeding her and almost cry when i think about giving it up for good but it is soo painful now as i've done it less and less. Ideally i would like to cut the formula slowly out now she will take a bottle and increase BF again through the day and only have the bottle as a resort for Grandparents (which is all it was ever supposed to be) but don't even know if that is possible.
sorry for rambling incoherent post guys!

It's certainly possible to continue bf and to inc bf - just do it :)

What's stopping you? You can just feed on the left if that's more comfortable - the right one will just cease production.

Well-established bf is v. flexible :)
