How do I stop that last breast feed????

I am planning to stop breast feeding my dd at around 1year. I will miss it but on the other hand feel very ready to stop - and I am getting married soon and dont really want to have to feed her in my wedding gown!

I am beginning to stop the day time feeds, reducing them down now to the morning one when she wakes ( although I am still feeding her a night when she wakes - but maybe this is another thread!) and the bed time one.

It is the bed time one ( and the ones when she wakes) that I am struggling with on how to stop.
She really isnt keen on taking a bottle, any ideas or tips please!

Should I replace a feed with a story and cuddle? Persevere with the bottle/tippi cup??

And when she wakes in the night, how on earth am I going to get her to go back to sleep??

Thanks

We stopped the night feeds first then in his second year gradually cut back the daytime ones until right before his second birthday (recommended minimum amount of nursing) we were down to one or two a day, usually in the evening. I just made sure I was super busy for two weeks, out all day, always up and moving, never sitting down. He would always ask to nurse if I sat down and he was tired. I was exhausted but it went smoothly, I didn't actually say no, I said not now.

At one year they still hugely benefit from it, even if it is only once a day. Any way you can keep going once a day until she is older? All the good stuff in your milk is concentrated if they only have one small feed so it is still really worthwhile.
