Mastitis question

I have (self diagnosed) mastitis. I've just been expressing to try & relieve it & as well as normal milk, some thick, yellow-ish stuff came out. is this normal from a blocked duct or is it likely to be pus?

Do you have a hard red sore lump? If so it could be an abcess. But having had mastitis I didn't have what you're describing. My breast was hot and swollen and hard and i felt fluey. Do you have those symptoms?

Yes, my breast is red & a bit hard & sore. I feel generally a bit crap & thought I was going to faint a couple of times.

You need to get some antibiotics then. Get thee to a doctor. And keep feeding/expressing as often as you can.

I called the out of hours and the doctor called me back then faxed a prescription through to my nearest pharmacy. So hopefully all sorted.
