I don't know what I hope to hear but breast feeding is not working well right now. Hope this doesn't get too long to explain.

My baby girl had tongue tie clipped at 11 weeks so I had nipple pain with bad latch till then. She got a lot better at latching soon after. I have suffered mastitis and this pain is not that. I had a blocked duct with a palm sized hard area a week ago but I managed to unblock that with dangle feeding chin to blockage. The next day a milk blister/ bleb appeard along with this pain. I followed online advice to break this and it seemed cleared. However the pain continued.

It is deep hard pain, under nipple and a bit further back. Worse when feeding but pain of varying degrees always there. I have been to the doctor and have started on thrush treatment but there are no other thrush signs and baby's mouth is clear.

Is there anything else this can be? It is toe curling and makes me yelp when feeding.

Thanks if you have any clue.

Hiya, sorry to hear you're in pain.

IME thrush feels like razor blades ripping through your breast and is worse at the start and after a feed. This doesn't sound like what you've described but if it is thrush you'll both need treating as otherwise you just pass it back and forth between you. Hope someone else can suggest some other possibilities... And hope you get shot of it soon!
