Some advice needed please....

DD is 23wks old and is EBF. She normally feeds between 10-12 feeds in 24hrs. Since Monday she has been feeding less! My breast feel a lot more full than usual. Should I pump to keep my supply up or should I just keep feeding on demand??

She had a cold 2wks ago and if I remember she did the same! I did pump as my breast felt very uncomfortable. I have a feeling that she is getting another cold or may be teething! I thought they feed more when they aren't well and teething!!

My breast don't know whether they are coming or going!! One minute she wants to feed a lot and the next she couldn't care less! How can I cope with the inconsistency?

You can safely leave it up to your dd to show you by her behaviour if she needs more milk - and by responding to this, you will continue to make sufficient for her.

Your body will cope just fine.

Again, your issue is not a breastfeeding problem but one of confidence that the process will work well; after 23 weeks your bf is well-established, not fragile in the least, and will easily cope with varying demands.

Hi Gina, me again, we are 3 weeks behind you...my dd is the same feeds inconsistently week to week and for a few months I hadnt even thought about my milk supply after the first 2 months of thinking every day "oh my god is she getting enough".
dd has suddenly put the pressure back on the milk shakers and I had the same thought as you yesterday but then I reminded myself that dd is pretty clever and asks in her little way to suck on them a bit longer even though it seems there isnt any left and then on the next feed there is a bit more etc.
I always feel we're in good hands when tiktok has posted ;-)
did you see if dd tongue tie had grown back btw?

Gem, how are doing? DD has finally mastered the latch!! She has demonstrated the length of her Tongue many times so I'm guessing it's fine!! I'm a lot more confident now!! I guess where I've had so many problems with oversupply in the past I don't really want to go down that road again!!

Yes I have to agree with you and I too feel like I'm in safe hands when tiktok replies!! Have had a lot of support and fantastic advice.
