Worried about my supply

I started Weight Watchers on Saturday because I'm massively overweight. I've been VERY hungry - even on increased points for bf - these last few days but I've been sticking to it because I really need to lose a bit of weight.
This morning I woke up even more hungry and my supply has dipped quite a lot. DS has been feeding much more frequently too. I have an initial letdown but then he keeps sucking but not I don't hear him swallowing.
I read on Kellymom that sudden calories drop can cause a drop in supply.
What shall I do? If I carry on being hungry is my supply likely to be damaged? Can I still reverse it? Or will my body get used to it and start producing as much as before in a few days?
TIA

How old is your baby? Also having solids?

Remember it could be a coincidence, your baby is having a growth spurt or coming down with something or teething so wants to suck more.

Don't know that much about WW but Kellymom is good info. I suppose you could carry on and if it still seems to be affecting your supply, boost your diet and then reduce it more gradually next time.

How do you know your supply has dropped, though, vanilla?

My understanding of a drop in supply linked with calorie intake is only when there is a drop to almost zero eg when a mother becomes so ill she cannot eat or drink.

It's normal for babies to change their feeding frequency from time to time.

Could you be misinterpreting his behaviour?

is it possible that this has just coincided with the return of your periods? or, if they've already returned then are you due?

I only ask because I used to get a noticeable drop in supply whenever my period was due, I'd know it was coming because ds2 and ds3 would both feed a LOT more and be quite grumpy about the whole thing.

it's quite common.

otherwise, i'd say the same as tiktok. a drop in calories is unlikely to affect your supply unless you've dropped to almost nothing.
how old is ds?

He's 12 weeks old.
My boobs are very flat (as in feeling empty) whereas normally I'm so engorged before I feed that it hurts. Also letdown is not as forceful, it doesn't spray and after a few minutes I don't hear him or see him swallow. He's been at the breast more frequently too. I interpreted all these signs with a drop in supply.
I'm feeling quite sad about this and guilty too. I do feel lightheaded and hungry all the time so can it be my body going in starvation mode like kellymom says?
Do you think I can still reverse it if I increase my calorie intake? Thanks for your support.
