When do bf babies stop pooing so often?

ds is 6.5 weeks now and is still producing at least 4 or 5 big poos in 24 hours.

I've just changed the 3rd dirty nappy in an hour Confused.

I thought they were supposed to get less frequent from 4 weeks or so?

I think it depends entirely on the baby.

Ds is like his dad (there's a dh poo thread somewhere!) and likes to poo a lot.

Dd is now 6 months, but for quite a while she was down to a poo a day and - get this - quite often 8 or 9 days completely poo free!

It is completely random and pot luck!

They can get less frequent but some babies just carry on pooing quite a lot. Mine settled at about 3-4 poos a day from 6ish weeks until they were on solids. I had a friend whose baby from 6 weeks old would poo (enormous quantities!) only once every 3 days!
