That not all HCP are bad!

Went along with 21 w/o DD today to see a doc today about a suspected UTI, which he confirmed.

When prescribing me with antibiotics he asked if I was BF to which I said I was and he ensured I got ones that are fine when breastfeeding. He was also very happy that I'm still BF and went on to talk about the great health benefits that BF gives. :)

That's great!
Many HCP would just have assumed you have stopped by 21 weeks. Smile

And don't get me started on the GPs round here who seem to trot out the "why don't you express and give a bottle?" line ALL the time! Hmm

Hurrah for your Dr. I completely agree there are some who are supportive. My own GP told me she breastfed all three of her children for a year each and gets a lot of satisfaction from supporting breastfeeding mums and their babies.

Well I never see the same GP twice at the place I go to. There are loads of doctors there but I must say that they all seem lovely. Another doc I saw at my 8 week check was also great. DD was hungry so I fed her in his room and he said not to hurry.

There's also a breastfeeding cafe there on Friday mornings with midwives, HV and BF Peer Supporters.
