At last a reason for the pain!!

An update to my previous thread where I was so very close to giving up bf but with support and advice on here and some in rl I have persevered and am so glad I did.

Found out today that dd has got a posterior tongue tie which is what has been causing the hideous nipple pain. Even though several people have looked at her tongue and all declared her to be fine the shape of my nipple after a feed is apparently a classic symptom so I am amazed that this was not commonly known.

Hopefully it will be snipped next week so I at least have something to work towards with the pain.

That's brilliant news that you've got it sorted :) Posterior TTs are notoriously hard to spot, good for you for keeping at it until you got your answer.

I hope so thingamajig but I am trying not to get too excited just incase I still have pain/problems and then I will be so disapointed.

I would have felt awful had I have given up and found out later on about the tongue tie.
