I am not sure what to do next.... I am so tired and in lots of pain... DD3 is not feeding properly because of thrush...... I am feeling sick because of thrush treatment.... Feel like my breast is being destroyed.... It is 3 in the morning and I am completely alone... why isn't this getting any better.....

You poor thing, it will get better, have you got treatment for the thrush?

GodisaDJ · 15/04/2012 04:17

It will get better. Are you being treated for thrush?

How old is dc?

Those first few weeks are horrendous but it does get better once you reach 6/7 weeks old. Things just kind of calm down and even out.

It's so painful sometimes that you just feel like giving up. And everything always feels more shit at 3am. You're not alone.

Get some painkillers down you to ease the pain off, wake dh and tell him you feel shit and need a hug, and get him to make you a brew. He wouldn't want you feeling upset in the middle of the night and given that he hasn't got to get up to give a bottle, its only right he gets up tonight to support you.

Big hugs Smile

How are you today?

Dilute vinegar with cooled boiled water apply to nipple after feed and air dry it really helped me dd is 4 weeks old were just through it now I'm thinking of you x

i used to mix bicarb of soda with water, cooled boiled water and use that to wash my aerola and nipple with, it really worked to discourage the thrush :)

So sorry to hear you are feeling so low, can anyone help look after you a bit whilst you focus on the dcs? Maybe a middle of the night cup of tea and biscuit? Hope pain improves, please do see gp, or hv, i believe they can prescribe for thrush, or at least fast track you to a gp?
Hope you have a good night, and not so sad at 3am.
