Thrush? What does it feel like?

Currently bfing 9wk old DS2 and my boobs/nipples feel a bit...not quite sore, but weird. They tingle a bit, similar to a let-down feeling, and they're sensitive. The nipples are a bit pink, but not red-raw. Sometimes the whole boob feels mildly itchy but not often and only when actually feeding.

DS is feeding ok and his mouth isn't red or anything. He has got a white dot on one of his gums - looks a bit like a tip of a tooth Shock but it would be a molar so v unlikely!

Does this sound like thrush or just generally bfing sensitivity? DSs latch is often not the greatest so it could just be residual slight soreness from this?

Will my boobs drop off if it IS thrush and I don't treat it? Grin

Thrush feels like you have needles behind your nipples and the nipples themselves very red and sore. I was sobbing when BFing with thrush, was dreading every feed. You don't sound too bothered. To me, what you are describing sounds pretty normal, especially if your ds's latch I not perfect. And no, nothing will drop off :-)
