Started last night, when I feed with right boob I get a bad pain high in my back, just under my shoulder blade Confused

Have been ill with some sort of infection the last week which has caused various abdominal pains but on antibiotics and feeling better the last few days, could it be linked?

I dont know about the antibioctics but maybe its the position you are in when you feed from that side? A nice easy position with minimum strain on your back and arms is biological nurturing.

But I've been feeding for four months!

I had this for about a month then one day it stopped. No idea what caused it or made it go away but it was horrid. I wondered if it was because I was tense.

Sorry not much help really...

Could you have pulled a muscle coughing? Have you slept at a funny angle which might mean it hurts when you out her on the right boob? Have you tried just putting her in the position and not feeding - does it still hurt?

I've had similar but I think it's just been a muscle strain as it has gone.

Yes yes yes! Isn't it weird? It comes and goes (ds2 is 9wks) but I remember having it with ds1 too. I think it's when they really pull on a certain bit of nipple, it's like there's a nerve connection or something. Changing their latch seemed to help and it went away once ds1 was a few months
