How much shall I express off for for my first night out?

D has got us tickets to a private screening of 'Paris is Burning'. I was gonna opt out but he's really keen for me to go and there's a big group of people going and I'd like to see the film etc, so I think I might go for it..... we have D's mum lined up to sit for us.

She'll come to us and if I go I'll be gone from 6pm till between midnight and 1am.

DD2 is 7 weeks old and cluster feeds all evening.
She can take a bottle of expressed milk but obviously having had the real thing now prefers the breast, but she will take a bottle.

How much shall I express off from now until Thursday evening? I have no idea what she's taking from me or what she should be taking if I was doing formula feeding.

What do you think? How mnay bottles shall I leave and how much in each?

Do you have freezer bags for the milk? If so then express whatever you can and freeze in 4oz bags. Then you'll have more than enough and also some for the next time you are out.

To defrost simply stand bag in warm water. Shake well when in bottle as the fat separates. hth

I reckon 4oz in each bottle and I would have left 3 - not that she'll want all three of them but just in case.

I agree with Tommy, that sounds about right.

I had 10 ton of the freezer bags and now can't find where I've stashed them.

Instead, for now, I have really deep big square ice-cube trays from Ikea that hold about 3oz each.

So if I try and get 4 or 5 of those (3oz ice cubes) done in time and leave her 4 or 5 sterilised bottles?

Wish I could find those bags, loathe to buy more as they are here somewhere but where??????????
