What do I need to know about bf when I am poorly?

So I have been poorly all day and tonight have been throwing up, it's happened after ds 6 mths has gone to bed. He will however wake in an hour expecting a feed. Sart from being dizzy thee is nothing stoping me from feeding him is there?

No but try and get some fluids down yourself, even if you can just sip water as if you are feeling dizzy you are probably getting dehydrated.

Do you have a dp with you who can let you sleep and bring baby to you for each feed? You might want to keep some hand sanitizer close and use it before feeds too - your antibodies should protect baby but the last thing you need is a poorly dc to take care of too.

I had a nasty vomit bug a few weeks ago and DD never got it. DH looked after her and just handed her to me when she needed feeding.

Ds has thankfully not got it (fingers crossed). Wondering if it is something I ate.....

Ds has however decided tgat since 4am he will only sleep if I hold him, otherwise he cries
