Last three nights dd has woken up at 10pm for a feed usually if she woke up it'd be a quick comfort feed but the last few nights she's been feeding for ages thrashing about, coming off and screaming, biting, swapping sides. Any ideas is there a 10 month growth spurt?

I cannot quite remember if some may go through a growth spurt at this age. Does she feed successfully at other times of the day? Do you think it feels as though she is 'emptying' each side and trying to increase the supply?

I normally only feed her morning and night so I'd guess I'll be empty pretty quickly.

I would have thought that from what you say she is possibly trying to increase the supply at night time. It usually takes about 4/5 days doesn't it to get it to where they want it?

I could usually tell if that was the problem by seeing if there was anything left when she kept switching side to side - if not, then it was the fact she was still wanting more and then within a few days the supply would go up and back to all good again :)

How is she in the morning feed? If ok, I would definitely think it was that she was trying to increase your nighttime supply.
