Can I maintain one feed per day?

Hello, I have been BF-ing for 6 months. Sadly I developed severe PND and anxiety which affected my let down, we had to switch to formula for a few days. I expressed when I could, but couldn't get much because of the anxiety.

Am on medication now and feeling much better. I would like to keep going with the bedtime feed (have checked ok with the medication I'm on and it's fine).

How does this work with just feeding from each side on alternate days? Is it possible? When I expressed after a day or two of not feeding, the milk looked really watery and thin and I'm wondering if it is less nutritious?

Not sure how long you can sustain it for but hopefully someone will come along soon who does know.

Just wanted to say that I had trouble expressing with DC1 and soon realised that how much you can express and how it looks is no indication at all of the quanity or quality of milk your LO is receiving, so please don't worry about that.
