How much ff for an bf baby?

DH & I are going to a wedding in a couple of weeks & the GPs will be looking after the DDs for us. DD2 (11m & almost 11kg) is still having 2 feeds a day from me (breakfast & supper) so will have a bottle before bed that day.

She had a couple of (ebm) bottles when she was younger, & had no problems downing them Grin. I plan to give her ff this time as I CBA to express [lazy], but how much should we expect her to have? (I was planning on getting those ready-made cartons as I thought they would be easiest/cheapest)

Neither of my milk monsters have managed more than 10oz ever in a sitting. Usually nearer to 7oz or 210ml.

Hipp do a large resealable bottle that would be plenty big for a couple of feeds.

Might be an idea to check she's still ok with bottles. Babies are annoyingly changeable creatures. :)

Thanks for info! I had forgotten about the Hipp bottles (gave DD1 it a couple of times)

I was planning on having a mini test run with a bottle of formula this week. I am fairly confident though, she's never refused any kind of food/drink yet!

Be aware BF baby's usealy take less then FF baby's, Most BF average around 4oz (ovously this is a average some take more some take less) as BM changes as your baby grows the volume doesn't change so be carefull about offering her to much formula as it could leave her feeling bloated and over full.

I would guess probably 4oz too - my bfed ds never managed more than 5oz at that age.

Yep, 4 oz , and for my ds (in the days he would actually take a bottle-won't now) it was more like 3oz! Or just over- hth!
