Manually Expressing, info needed

Firstly, sorry to be asking this again, I know I have seen some links to how to express manually on threads before, but for some reason, I can't find them now Blush

I was thinking of very occasionally expressing for my nearly 6 month old ds so that he can have some longer periods away from me, but I don't want to invest in a pump as this will not be a regular arrangement. I am totally clueless and don't know how to express or even how I am meant to keep the expressed milk and re-heat it, etc. so if you know of a beginners guide, it will be much appreciated.

MeeWhoo - This video is good at showing you how to hand express and this tells you all about storing and handling expressed breastmilk.

Thanks a lot Truthsweet, really helpful.

The only thing I am not sure about now is, if I keep the milk at room temperature for only a few hours as per the guidelines, will I still need to warm the milk before feeding the baby or is room temperature ok?

Marking place, I've been looking for this sort of advice, thank you.

Mee - room temp is fine for ebm. Even straight-from-fridge is fine, if your baby doesn't mind it :)

Thanks tiktok, that's great! I really didn't want to have to faff about too much warming stuff up Smile
