What does a nursing strike look like?!

Sorry for being dim! My ds is nearly 9 mo and still bf. I work full time and he doesn't take a bottle (won't). I've been off work for weekend and also today, and ds has started sucking in my whole boob when trying to feed him! It results in him gagging on it! As a result he hasn't fed well today! He does seem to want to, has he forgotten how to latch- is this possible? Or nursing strike? Or is he just messing, he does laugh afterwards (admittedly, I do too as it is very funny!) Any thoughts welcome !!!

I take it you are still feeding morning and night while working?

Nursing strike is normaly when a baby refusses to feed at all, but you can still get fussy behavour. It would be very unlikely for him to have forgoten how to latch at this age. Could be he's just experimenting with new feelings of things in his mouth.

Have a read hear this mite help.

Thank you! Yes he still feeds morning, night and during the night. He has no teeth yet, so was thinking maybe a tooth is coming? It's very strange, he has fed today, and I've been holding my boob so that only nipple goes in, which I think is helping. I'll take a look at your link- thanks again!
