Hi, dd is 7 weeks old and i gave up bfing her at 2 days old when she was latched for 4 and a half hours and i was in agony and really tired from labour.

Any ways i would really love to try and bf her again. Is this possible? How would i go about it?

It is possible but it will probably be a long hard process and take lots of work. Don't let that put you off though if you want to do it.

Lots of info here but probably the best thing would be to get some real life support - try contacting one of the bfing helplines (no.s on the MN bfing pages) and seeing someone face to face.

In the mean time skin to skin and starting expressing will help with milk supply. If you express you are looking at 8-12 times a day both sides so hiring a hospital grade pump from the NCT or other local bfing group would be the fastest and quickest way to pump as you do both sides at once which halves the pump times and can increase hormones too.

Good luck.
